About
A listening notebook for music that doesn't have a name yet.
Before consensus
Before an artist shows up on the big playlists, they exist in bedrooms, garages and small radio stations. That's where we look. diminutus° publishes short selections, annotated track by track, featuring emerging artists from every continent.
Why diminutus?
In harmony, the diminished chord is built from stacked minor thirds. It sounds unstable, tense, on the verge of resolving into something else. It's a passing chord: not a destination, but movement. The ° symbol is its notation. That's how we see the music we feature — still in transit, about to become something else.
